Topic/Theme: The fall of direct-fired stills.  Along with Glenfarclas and Glendronach, the three scotches tasted tonight are the last whose distilleries still use direct fire to heat their stills.

Scotches/Whiskies Tasted: Glenfiddich 12yr, Macallan fine oak 15yr, and Springbank 10yr.

Famous Scotsman: Ian Stewart, keyboardist and co-founder of the Rolling Stones.  Presentation by Geoff Boulden.
